Although both options serve to restrict access to your account, they differ significantly in purpose and effect.

Account Closure
Account closure is typically a temporary measure and applies in the following cases:
- 48‑hour Take‑a‑Break
- Temporary Self‑Exclusion via Betano Account
- Nationwide Self‑Exclusion (RVO)
- Account Closure via Contact Form
When any of these options are enabled, your access to our services will be blocked for the selected time period.
To activate Self‑Exclusion or Take a Break, go to My Account → Profile → Player Protection.
To request account closure via the contact form, please submit the form using your registered email. After the 14‑day notice period, your account will be closed, with the possibility of restoring it in the future.
Account & Data Deletion
Account deletion is a permanent action, performed only at your request:
- Your account will be permanently closed
- You will not be able to log in again or open a new account
- Your personal data will be erased in accordance with our data retention policy
To request account deletion, follow this path: Privacy Notice → § 5.2 → Right to erasure → Account Deletion → Submit request.
If you don't have access to the account, send an email request to the responsible department via dpo-office@betano.cz, using your registered email address and including your username.
