Golden Sub applies to selected player markets marked with the "Golden Sub" icon. If your selected player is substituted during the match, your bet automatically transfers to the substitute, keeping the same odds and original market conditions.
- The substitute must officially enter the match.
- The substitute inherits the original player's statistics.
- If the substitute is also substituted, the bet moves again to the next player.
Examples
- Goal scorer bet: if the original player is substituted without scoring, the bet transfers to the substitute. If the substitute scores, the bet wins.
- 2+ shots on goal: if the original player has 1 shot before substitution, the substitute inherits it. One more shot from the substitute makes the bet a winner.
Eligible bets
Golden Sub applies to single and multiple bets, Bet Builders (where available), and both pre-match and live bets.
Valid playing time
Golden Sub applies during 90 minutes of regular time, including injury time. It doesn't apply to extra time or penalty shootouts, unless the market explicitly states otherwise.
When Golden Sub doesn't apply
- The bet outcome was already decided.
- The bet was cashed out before the substitution.
- The substitute doesn't meet the market condition.
- The player isn't substituted.
- The substitution happens outside regular time.
Important information
- Substitutes are confirmed by the official data provider (OPTA) and shown on your bet slip.
- The "Substitution before halftime" offer doesn't apply where Golden Sub is available.
- Golden Sub applies to eligible bets placed from 8 January 2026.
