VAR (Video Assistant Referee) reviews and corrects clear, obvious errors in four situations: goals and goal-scoring situations, penalty decisions, direct red card incidents, and cases of mistaken identity in disciplinary actions.
From a betting perspective:
- Bets settle based on the final official match result, including any changes made after VAR reviews.
- A goal disallowed by VAR does not count for your bet.
- A penalty awarded or overturned by VAR settles based on the final confirmed decision.
Bets are never re-settled based on temporary in-game decisions — only the final confirmed result after all VAR reviews is used.
