The 1st Half Injury Safety Net voids and refunds bets on a player who is injured in the first half and doesn't return for the second half.
Eligibility
- The player must have played in the first half.
- The player must not return to the court at any point in the second half.
- The absence must be due to a confirmed injury — not a tactical, disciplinary, or precautionary decision.
What happens to your bets
- Any unsettled player performance markets on the injured player are voided and refunded.
- Markets that were already settled before the injury was confirmed stay settled, regardless of the outcome.
- This only applies to injury-related absences — not benching for any other reason.
How and when it's applied
- If official confirmation of the injury is available during the match, the void is applied immediately.
- If confirmation isn't available during play, Betano reviews the incident after the match based on credible official sources — for example, team announcements, league statements, or reputable media — and may apply the void retroactively.
- The injury must occur during the first half. Injuries during half-time or the second half aren't eligible.
- The player must not re-enter the game in any form during the second half.
When it doesn't apply
- Tactical decisions — for example, poor form, rest, foul trouble, load management, or a known or pre-existing condition that influenced a coaching decision.
- Situations lacking clear or verifiable information about the injury.
- Injuries that occur after the first half ends.
